Welcome, I am pleased you found Sense of Hope Counseling!
Early in life I felt passionate about helping people in pain, whatever form that took. This calling led me to provide services for the previous 20 years in a variety of settings, many working with victims of violent crime, their families, friends and community.
My calling has brought me into service at several incidents of mass violence/tragedy from providing crisis response, support, mental health and community engagement services. I have witnessed the trauma, pain and confusion not only for the victims but for those who witnessed these events. I am compassionate to your pain and am able to calmly guide you through the most intense experiences of your life. My style is more active in session although I am also a great listener. My style will adapt to your needs. My passion here at Sense of Hope counseling is to guide a person as they travel their journey to wellness.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Washington, holding the license number LH00003902. My undergraduate studies at Western Washington University, through my own design, were focused in Supporting Human Relationships. Graduate studies continued at Bastyr University, Leadership Institute of Seattle, in Systems Counseling, earning my degree in 1998.
My life balance is through gardening, playing with my rescue pup and my delightful grandchildren. I love humor and have found appropriate ways to use it in both my personal and professional life.
