Stress and your brain
By: Nancy Hawley, MA, LMHC ~ 10/15/2018

Have you ever wondered why you feel it in your whole body when you are stressed? In this short video Anna Beckmann explains how our brain reacts from everyday stress to PTSD. In my experience, people who have been affected by a traumatic event often tell me of the physical complaints they are experiencing. This video explains how our whole being experiences a traumatic event.

In my work with people affected by stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma we address the whole body, helping to integrate the brain and body through memory processing, mindful breathing and being in touch with emotions that arise.

I am always happy to discuss with you coping strategies to address the whole body.
